Why can't my test results look like this? (1)

This patient-centric diagram combines results for 10 different tests into one single graphic.

The bar chart sorts the results based on how high or low they they are -- relative to their respective acceptable ranges. Results that are low are to the left, and results that are high appear to the right. The bars are split into four areas:

  1. results below the acceptable range
  2. results in the bottom half of the acceptable range
  3. results in the top half of the acceptable range
  4. results above the acceptable range

Outliers -- that is, results that are outside of the normal range -- appear in red at the extremes of the graph.

You can view the acceptable ranges in the table at the bottom. The table itself is entirely optional, and it's there for people who want more detail.

Any extraneous information, such as ordering information, lab contact info has been kept out of the results area. They are not lab results, and shouldn't be combined with the patient's test information.

This graphic has been designed to be as generic as possible, to make white-labeling or cobranding easier.
